Proud to share the very successful conduct of the World Tamil Research Conference, held from 26–28 June 2026 at Assumption University, Thailand.

The conference, themed “External History of the Tamils,” was jointly organized by the Institute of Asian Studies, Chennai, Assumption University, Thailand, and the International Thirukkural Foundation, Mauritius. It brought together scholars from around the world to present and discuss research on the global history, culture, heritage, maritime traditions, medicine, and international connections of the Tamils.

A significant step in strengthening Tamil studies and celebrating the timeless legacy and global presence of the Tamil people.
